Technical Rescue/US&R Task Force

This component of the team specializes in High Angle, Confined Space, Collapsed Structure, and Swift Water Rescue.

These members train two Friday evenings per month, and periodic weekend dates. Training dates are listed in the calendar portion of the newsletter, and unless specified; we will be meeting at our HQ on the South West corner of 19th Street (Hwy 595) and 40th Avenue.

The only prerequisite to becoming eligible to apply to become a member of the this component of the team is to be a member in good standing of Red Deer Search & Rescue. (See the "Signing UP" button for more information).

The yearly dues for Technical Rescue/ Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) members are $50.00 (CAN) , which goes toward the purchase and upkeep of equipment that you will be using for the provided in-house training sessions. An additional $20.00 (CAN) is also required annually which goes towards a honorarium to help fund off site training courses in the Technical Rescue/ US&R field that is given to the member voted most deserving by their fellow team members.
